Our Streets Need… is a Beacon Hill Seattle Transportation Plan (STP) outreach initiative for envisioning our neighborhoods future with transportation. What will our future transportation systems look like in the next 20 years? Tell the Seattle Department of Transportation what changes our streets need through the community hub.

OUR PROGRESS

There are 3 phases of outreach in creating the Seattle Transportation Plan.

Phase 1 Outreach - Establishing our shared vision. Aka asking the What questions.

  • Tabled at 2-events where we partnered with the Little Purple Library, VEO, SDOT, and Beacon Arts to give away FREE transportation themed books and FREE bike swag/helmets to community.

    • Seattle Latinx Pride 2022

    • August Beacon Arts Street Fair

    • Outreach announcement at North Star Cycling event

  • Flyered’ every little library in Beacon Hill.

  • Our #BeaconHillSTP supporters list has grown to 9 organizations where they are providing STP information to their members.

Phase 2 Outreach - Defining the future of our transportation systems. Aka asking the How questions.

NEW - PHASE 2 will run through February 21, 2023 (UPDATED 2/8/2023)

  • Tabled at 2-events where we partnered with the Little Purple Library, VEO, SDOT, and Beacon Arts to give away FREE transportation themed books and FREE bike swag/helmets to community.

  • Flyering’ - Mid Beacon Hill, South Beacon Hill and The Central District neighborhoods with multilingual posters + yard signs
