PEDESTRIANIZE THIS!

This past month Seattle Neighborhood Greenways hosted Pedestrianize This! at Centilia Cultural Center in North Beacon Hill. This was the first of their 3-part live panel series, Shaping Seattle!

The event itself celebrated pedestrianization street design successes around the globe, centered projects within Seattle, and connected community members with grassroots campaigns across different neighborhoods throughout the city of Seattle.

Our very own Yes Segura, Founder of Smash the Box, sat on the panel for Pedestrianize This! to discuss the growing efforts to fully pedestrianize S Roberto Maestas Festival Street in Beacon Hill. We are taking Debi Frauto’s advice by “tying it to a larger project,” namely the Beacon Ave S & 15th Ave S Safety Project. Check out the 30% design!
